Formerly Secretary General of Leaseurope, and sister Federation Eurofinas, for over 20 years, Marc is a hugely influential figure within the European leasing and asset finance community. As a result of his long tenure at the helm of Leaseurope and by supporting emerging countries in developing their leasing industries, Marc has probably amassed a broader range of contacts across Europe’s leasing industry than anyone else.

Marc was closely involved in all of the key changes that affected leasing across Europe over a significant period of evolution, giving him a unique insight into the impact of developments past, present and future. He played a significant role in assisting the development of fledgling leasing and asset finance markets in Central and Eastern European countries, many of which had no industry history or experience. Leaseurope and, especially, Marc were instrumental in providing guidelines, a framework and advice to help them formulate their laws and practices.

A lawyer by training, Marc also has an MBA from the University of Ghent. Before Leaseurope and Eurofinas, he spent 13 years at International Factors in Brussels, rising to become Director of Sales and Marketing.
