MARC TENDLER
Marc Tendler, a UK-based principal, has over 20 years’ equipment leasing and asset finance experience. Marc works closely with clients, often on long-term projects, focusing on important strategic issues and problems and, as a hands-on specialist part of identified solutions, uses his resourcefulness and expertise to plan, drive change, improve performance and competitiveness and help to manage their business.
Marc has a strong track record of supporting clients in a CFO-type role using his technical knowledge and capability. He relishes challenging assignments that combine know-how, strategy and execution, introducing fresh ideas and adding value to achieve results.
Marc is adept at facilitating pan-European market entry and new-start companies, expanding business into Central and Eastern Europe and building successful vendor finance relationships. He supports Alta’s work in benchmarking, analysing clients’ relationships with their peers and developing strategies that help them grow their business, streamline operations, advance services and introduce best practices from around the world. Marc also has a year’s in-depth experience of working with a client in the full service car leasing sector.

A graduate in economics and a fellow of the UK Institute of Chartered Accountants, Marc began his career with Price Waterhouse. Later, at Lombard, he was involved in the establishment of vendor programmes and the creation of joint ventures.
Marc joined ING Lease (UK) on its start-up and served as Finance Director for 10 years. Under his leadership, the company grew to $1.1 billion in assets. Marc also set up many ING Lease subsidiaries in a wide variety of niche markets and served on the ING Lease IT Strategy Board. He has completed the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme.
