ALUN RICHARDS

Alun Richards, a principal based in France and the UK, is a highly knowledgeable senior asset finance practitioner with particular expertise in the successful management and delivery of pan-European and Global vendor and direct equipment financing programmes. He can support The Alta Group’s clients with their strategic and implementation requirements in these areas.

Alun is a very successful leader of change and has a track record of dramatically improving productivity and profitability. He has a strong pedigree of ensuring that the cultural mix of different countries works well together to close deals.

Alun’s hands-on, in-depth knowledge of the European marketplace strengthen Alta’s representation in several countries, particularly France, the Benelux countries and the Nordic region. He has been based in many of these countries and knows the challenges and opportunities. He is fluent in Swedish and speaks good French.

Alun was Managing Director for Key Equipment Finance’s European region until October 2007, where he was instrumental in delivering a tripling of business volumes over four years. One of his significant achievements was Key’s implementation of the first true pan-European website in the asset finance industry.

Prior to Key, Alun was General Manager of pan-European partner programmes for GE European Equipment Finance and Managing Director of the Benelux, Italy and Spain regions. He also held various managerial roles in GE’s Nordic region.
