RICARDO MUÑOZ-MEDINA

Ricardo Muñoz-Medina was born in Bogotá. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and an MBA from La Salle University. After working with finance companies, he started his involvement in leasing 21 years ago with a training program in leasing and factoring with Walter E. Heller, in order to start a leasing joint venture in Colombia. During the following years he was the CEO of Leasing Grancolombiana S.A., later was the founder partner and CEO starting another leasing company with Banco Union, and after regional training work as the country manager for Colombia and the Andean Pact (Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia) for AT&T Capital Corporation.

Later he started Leasconsulting in Colombia and in the U.S., to give consulting services to the Latin American leasing companies and vendors. During all this time Munoz has been involved in promoting the leasing industry, as president and member of the board for many years of Fedeleasing (Colombian Leasing Association) and FELALEASE (Latin American Leasing Federation).
